Nourish Your Skin with Nature

DIY Whipped Tallow Moisturizer with Aloe, Jojoba & Frankincense

If you’ve been looking for a clean, deeply nourishing moisturizer that actually supports your skin barrier—this is it. This whipped tallow blend is one of my favorite ways to ditch synthetic creams and instead use whole, natural ingredients your skin recognizes.

It’s simple, rich, and full of skin-loving nutrients that feed your skin on a cellular level—and with just a few pantry staples, you can create a ritual that not only supports your body but also feels so good to make.

Our bodies thrive on what they can actually absorb, digest, and transmute into yummy fuel. That includes our skin, too. Think about it… the largest organ, the one that’s far more exposed than anything else—and here we are, just slapping on potions and lotions loaded with 500 chemicals—let alone the environmental toxins we can't even avoid.

And maybe this recipe sounds totally bogus to you. Totally fair. If this nudges you into even considering that your skin is REALLY EFFIN important—and deserves to be respected and honored in a different way—through less frying it in the sun, chemically blasting it with 800 facial applications, and doing whatever else the trends tell us to do—then I’ve done my job.

Why Tallow?

Tallow from grass-fed cows is incredibly bioavailable—it closely mimics the structure of human skin sebum. That means your skin soaks it up easily, without clogging pores. It’s rich in fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K—essential for elasticity, healing, and glow.

Most commercial lotions?
Packed with synthetic fillers, petroleum byproducts, and preservatives that can disrupt hormones and irritate sensitive skin.

This?
This is nourishment you can feel. And see.

Check out this recipe so you can make it at home OR use each ingredient separately if you prefer—blending them fresh in the palm of your hand each morning and night.

(Full transparency: I ran out yesterday—so last night and this morning, I just added a little of each ingredient to the palm of my hand and slathered it all over my face. It’s still the best ritual.)

Keep reading ‘til the end—I've linked each ingredient AND bundled them all into one click-ready Amazon cart to make it even easier!

Recipe: DIY Whipped Tallow Moisturizer

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Gently melt the tallow over low heat until liquid. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  2. Stir in jojoba oil, castor oil, aloe (if using), and essential oils. Mix well.

  3. Place the mixture in the fridge until it begins to solidify—but not fully harden.

  4. Whip with a hand mixer until light, fluffy, and creamy.

  5. Store in a glass jar at room temperature or in the fridge for a firmer consistency.

How to Use:

A little goes a long way.
Apply a small amount to your face, body, hands—or anywhere you need deep nourishment.
It’s safe for everyone—yes, kids too. Yes, your bald head too (there, I said it).Facial hair? Wouldn’t be mad at it either. Tallow is skin’s best friend, and that includes all the skin.
This blend is completely gender-neutral, age-neutral, and body-loving.

You can even use it as an overnight balm for dry or irritated skin.

Ritual Tip:

If you don’t want to make a whipped all-in-one moisturizer…
Just keep all ingredients separate under your counter and blend them fresh in your palm each morning and night—intentionally creating a daily ritual with your skin.

It’s more than moisturizer.

THIS LIST OF INGREDIENTS WILL LAST YOU MONTHS, like 6+ months or longer….depending on how much and often you use these products. When making the whipped tallow the self life is 3-6 months so be sure to make it in batches. If using as individual ingredient and creating every morning in your palm, I would go by the date on the bottle of each ingredient.
